Admissions Eligibility

Eligible participants are…

• non-native speakers of English (minimum English level: high intermediate)
• current or recent EFL teachers

The seminar is especially valuable for English teachers who have not had much formal training in teaching English as a foreign language. The course is not appropriate for native speakers of English or prospective teachers with no prior teaching experience.  Others are welcome to contact the director to request special permission to join the seminar.

Cost

The course fee for 2009 is $975, plus a $75 non-refundable application fee, for a total of $1,050. Includes a total of 53 program hours, textbook and all materials, plus welcome reception and closing luncheon.

Refund Policy: 100% of the course fee ($975) is refundable for cancellations made before first day of session. No refund thereafter.

Application and Deadlines

To apply for this program, send application and questionnaire with total course fees. Deadline to apply: JULY 6, 2009.

The seminar is subject to cancellation if a minimum number of participants is not reached. In case of cancellation, participants will be notified by July 8, and 100% of both the fee course and application fees will be refunded.

Visa Information

Because the number of classroom hours per week for the EFL Professional Develoment Seminar is fewer than 18, the course is considered "incidental" to the visit and so the participant may enter the US on a tourist visa or on the WT visa waiver program.
