Housing Options for NICE Students
On-Campus Dormitories and Meal Plans

On-campus dormitories are not readily available to NICE students. Occasionally, NICE students are successful in reserving rooms in the UH Conference Housing or at the East-West Center.

1. University of Hawai‘i Conference Housing
   
   • Individuals may be accepted; however, available only from mid-May through early August
   • Located on the UH campus
   • Meal plan with Sodexho Food Service required

     Single Room:  $25/day;  Double Room:  $40 per day; Apartment (quadruple):  $70 per day

2. East-West Center Housing
   
   • Must be college-age or older, as the dorm is primarily for graduate students.
   • The EWC requires confirmation of enrollment from the NICE office.
   • Located on grounds of EWC, next to the UH campus
   • Shared cooking facilities available in the dorm, OR UH meal plan can be purchased through Sodexho Food Service.

On-Campus Meal Program (Sodexho)
All individuals staying in the University of Hawai‘i Conference Housing are required to purchase one of the five combination meal plans for each day of occupancy, and at least one meal on their arrival and departure days. Students staying off-campus are also welcome to purchase a meal plan.

Prices are based on per person per day. This information is subject to change. Please contact Sodexho to confirm current prices. Students with a regular meal plan must eat meals in the Hale Aloha cafeteria.

Flash Card option: The Flash Card is like a cash card and offers the flexibility of eating at various campus dining areas. Any amount may be purchased and put on the card.
