Housing Options for Groups
On-Campus Dormitories

On-campus dormitories may be an option depending on availability.  They offer the convenience of being within walking distance of the classroom and the experience of university dormitory living.  Group sponsors are welcome to contact these housing providers directly OR request that our office make the arrangements on their behalf. Please note that an administrative fee is charged for assistance with these arrangements.

University of Hawai‘i Conference Housing

• Available from mid-May through early August only
• High School and Junior High School students accepted
• Located on the UH campus
• Meal plan with Sodexho Food Service required (see below)

  • Single Room (shared bathrooms):  $25 per day 
  • Double Room (shared bathrooms):  $40 per day
  • Apartment (double, with private kitchen and bathroom):  $45 per day
  • Apartment (quadruple, with private kitchen and bathroom):  $70 per day

East-West Center Housing

• Sometimes available for small groups
• Must be college-age; graduate students preferred
• Located on grounds of EWC, next to the UH campus
• Shared cooking facilities available in the dorm, OR UH meal plan can be purchased through Sodexho Food Service (see below).

  Hale Manoa and Hale Kuahine (shared bathrooms)
  Cost (depends on length of stay):
  Single: $16-$23 per day
  Double:$23-$35 per day 

  Lincoln Hall (for group escorts/chaperones: private bathrooms, cable TV)
  Cost:

  Studio (single or double occupancy): $49/night
  1-bedroom with kitchen (single or double occupancy): $65/night

On-Campus Meal Program (Sodexho)
All groups staying in the University of Hawai‘i Conference Housing are required to purchase one of the five combination meal plans for each day of occupancy, and at least one meal on their arrival and departure days. Groups staying off-campus are also welcome to purchase a meal plan.

Prices are based on per person per day. This information is subject to change. Please contact Sodexho to confirm current prices. Students with a regular meal plan must eat meals in the Hale Aloha cafeteria.

Flash Card option: The Flash Card is like a cash card and offers the flexibility of eating at various campus dining areas. A specific amount (min. of $75) may be purchased and put on the card.
